The Association of Lawyers for Sports (ALS) is dedicated to fostering camaraderie, sporting excellence, leadership and wellness within the legal profession through the spirit of cricket.
Founded to promote professional unity beyond courtrooms and chambers, this premier sporting event encourages teamwork, integrity and healthy competition among legal minds.

The overarching administration, regulatory interpretation, and final judicial authority of the league shall be strictly vested in the Organizing Committee as follows:
The following Rules & Guidelines have been framed by the Organizing Committee (OC) of T10 Lawyers Cricket League (T10LCL) for ensuring fair play, discipline, professional conduct, and smooth functioning of the tournament.
1. All standard ICC Rules and Regulations shall be followed unless otherwise specifically mentioned herein.
2. The Rules & Guidelines of the tournament are formulated and governed by the Organizing Committee (OC) of T10LCL.
3. The decision of the Match Officials and Organizing Committee shall be final and binding in all match-related matters.
4. All participating teams, players, and officials shall maintain professionalism, sportsmanship, and decorum throughout the tournament.
5. Each team shall consist of a maximum squad strength of 15 players.
6. The process of player retention, auction, registration, bidding, Right to Match (RTM), replacement players, and all allied auction-related matters shall be governed strictly by the separate “T10LCL Auction Rules & Regulations” framed by the Organizing Committee.
7. All participants must be practising Advocates.
8. No participant must have played professional cricket (Board Cricket) during the last 2 years.
9. The squad of 15 players shall contain a maximum of 3 players who are members of any Bar Association outside Delhi.
10. Out of the total squad of 15 players, at least 12 players must strictly be members of the Delhi High Court Bar Association/Bar Council of Delhi.
11. Every team shall mandatorily include one player aged 45+ years and one player aged 50+ years in their squad.
12. Out of the aforesaid two senior category players, at least one player must participate in every match either as a batsman or bowler.
13. Runs scored by a player aged 50+ years during batting shall be counted as double runs.
14. All 15 squad members shall be eligible to participate during the course of the match, however only 11 players shall be permitted to be on the field of play at any given point of time.
15. If any team is found intentionally fielding or utilizing more than 11 players on the ground during active play, the concerned team shall stand disqualified from the match/tournament, subject to the decision of the Organizing Committee and Match Officials.
16. Match Officials (Umpires) must be informed if any player enters or leaves the field during the course of the match.
17. The teams must assemble at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled match time.
18. If a team is not available after 15 minutes of their scheduled time, then the team shall lose 1 over and for every further delay of 15 minutes, one additional over shall be deducted.
19. Each inning shall consist of 10 overs and shall be completed within 45 minutes.
20. The complete match shall be completed within 90 minutes.
21. There shall be a minimum break of 10 minutes between the two innings and a 2-minute drinks break during the innings.
22. All teams must strive to complete their quota of overs within the prescribed time.
23. The umpires shall monitor the over rate and in the event the bowling side is behind on over rate, all overs started after the 37th minute of an inning shall allow only 2 fielders outside the 30-yard circle.
24. There shall be a single drinks break allowed during the match except in cases of injuries.
25. In case of extreme weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, the Match Officials shall take an appropriate decision in consultation with both team captains.
26. Each team shall have 2 reviews available for LBWs, Runouts, wides, and No-balls.
27. There shall be a mandatory Power Play of 3 overs in every inning out of the total 10 overs.
28. The bowling side may opt to take the Power Play overs at any time and in any sequence during the innings after informing the Match Officials.
29. It shall be compulsory to complete all 3 overs of Power Play during the innings.
30. The 30-yard circle shall be marked to facilitate field restrictions during the Power Play overs.
31. During the Power Play overs, fielding restrictions as per ICC norms shall apply.
32. After completion of the Power Play overs, a maximum of 5 fielders shall be permitted outside the circle.
33. Jerseys as approved/chosen by the respective teams shall be worn during the matches.
34. No unauthorized jersey, lower, or dress variation shall be permitted during the tournament.
35. The League shall be played strictly with Kookaburra cricket balls only.
36. The current edition of T10LCL shall consist of 20 teams.
37. There shall be 4 pools consisting of 5 teams each.
38. Each team shall play 4 league matches.
39. Net Run Rate (NRR) shall be used to determine the qualifying position of teams from each pool.
40. Teams shall play knockout matches as per the fixture list shared by the Organizing Committee.
41. The knockout stage shall consist of Pre-Quarter Finals, Quarter Finals, Semi-Finals, and Final.
42. If any knockout match ends in a tie, the teams shall compete in a Super Over to determine the result.
43. If the Super Over also ends in a tie, another Super Over shall be played until the result is determined.
44. In the second Super Over, batsmen and bowlers who participated in the first Super Over shall not be allowed to bat or bowl respectively.
45. In the event of abandonment of knockout matches due to bad weather or unavoidable circumstances, the match shall be shifted to the reserve day.
46. If the reserve day is also washed out, joint winners shall be declared.
47. All teams, players, franchise representatives, and officials shall maintain discipline, decorum, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
48. Any abuse, misconduct, unfair practice, physical altercation, or violation of tournament rules may invite disciplinary action by the Organizing Committee.
49. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to impose penalties including warning, suspension, disqualification, match forfeiture, or any other penalty deemed appropriate.
50. The Organizing Committee shall have full authority to interpret, modify, amend, or relax any rule in the interest of the League.
51. Any dispute arising during the tournament shall be resolved by the Organizing Committee whose decision shall be final and binding upon all concerned parties.
The ICC Rules and Regulations shall be treated as the governing and mother document. Any matter or rule not specifically mentioned herein shall be governed strictly in accordance with ICC Regulations.
